Yogurt Bagel Buns

180 g all-purpose flour
120 ml non-dairy yogurt
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Steps
1Fill a large wide cooking pot (28 cm ~ 11 inch) with water ~ 2 lt. Bring to a boil. While the water is heating up, add flour and baking powder to a medium size mixing bowl. Whisk to combine and add yogurt.
2Mix first using a spoon then your hands until you get a firm dough. You don’t need to knead it.
3Split the dough into two portions, roll into balls then flatten into thick disks to make the buns.
4Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) Fan. Once the water starts boiling, drop the buns into the water and boil for 2 minutes.
5Use a spatula or a spoon to fish out the boiled buns and place them on top of a baking tray lined with baking powder. Lightly pat with a paper kitchen towel and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
6Bake in the middle of the oven for 15 minutes. Allow to cool on the tray for 5 minutes before slicing.
7Add to a plate. The buns can be used for burgers or sandwiches.
